Training Sessions
Track and Field Development Academy, training is held every Monday and Wednesday from 4:30 to 6:00 pm under the guidance of club coaches Trish Mchendrie, Mathew Brunige and Mark Secomb. training is normally held on the grass oval at Christies Beach High School
Specialist coach Mark Secomb also runs his throws/sprints training group on Mondays and Wednesdays.
Southern AC can also put new members in touch with various specialist coaches most of these hold sessions at Mile End.

New members are always welcome to come and try out at any of the club training sessions.

For recreational runners,

Beginner Running Sessions, 12 week group program. Those with some running/fitness background may be able to join in part way through a block.

6am Monday, Wednesday and Friday meet at Rotary Park Christies Beach, sessions are 30-40min in length

Runrise Sessions, For those early starters Runrise runners meet at various locations around Christies Beach, 5:30am Tuesday and Thursday, Tuesday is an intervals session and Thursday is either an easy or tempo session.
